Meet Dr. Zohra

Dr. Zohra graduated from Khyber College of Dentistry, Peshawar, Pakistan.  She excelled in her class obtaining the honor of being the Best Graduate and earning two Gold Medals.  She went on to complete a one-year Residency Program at the college.

She then moved to England where she completed her Fellowship in Dental Surgery (FDS) at the Royal College of Surgeons, UK.  Afterwards she worked at various hospitals in London and its suburbs in the Departments of Oral Surgery and Oral Medicine.  During that time she helped treat patients with facial trauma, oral cancers and complex medical problems. 

From U.K. Dr. Zohra moved to the United States where she obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from College of Dentistry, University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC).  Since that time she has been in private practice providing her patients with the highest quality of dentistry.  Dr. Zohra and her team participate in programs that increase their knowledge and skills.  As new technologies enter the dental field, they investigate the new products and utilize those that are beneficial to their patients.

Dr. Zohra is married to Dr. Nadeem  Afzal, a Nephrologist, practicing at Doctor’s Hospital of Augusta. They have a daughter studying for her Master in Computer Science.

Besides being passionate about her work as a dentist, Dr. Zohra also enjoys gardening, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
